Monty Davis is an award-winning Kansas City-based visual journalist and video editor.

For the past 12 years, he has worked for The Kansas City Star and it’s parent company, McClatchy.

Recently he was been assigned as a regional video producer to support video efforts for six of the company’s central regional websites: Kansas City, Fort Worth, Belleville, Ill., Wichita, Kan., Lexington, Ky., and State College, Pa.

During his time in Kansas City, Davis has covered two World Series,  presidential visits, the Kansas City Chiefs, historic and devastating tornado damage, Big 12 tournaments, and hundreds of stories about everyday people in the city.
